ShareLindsay and I opened our boutique on April 1, 2006.
At our ribbon-cutting, someone said: "Nice shop -- they just need more stuff."
The dabluz boutique fills most of the first floor (there's a wine shop here too) of the Historic Hotel Glenview with great stuff. A lot of it is made right here in Northeast Illinois.
We've bagged up some vintage ephemera using collectible game pieces, old postcards, photos, playing cards, book pages, junk and more.
We have the largest collection of vintage costume jewelry in Mount Carroll! Wear it again or recycle it into your own hand made jewelry. (We'll help!!!)
At the dabluz boutique, we make our jewelry using glass and vintage beads, mixed metals, hardware, vintage costume jewelry, chains, buttons and more.
Fill free to use our Cric Cut Machine. We have the largest selection of scrapbook paper, glues, ribbons, inks, tools and Uppercase Living accessories (including the latest catalog) in Mount Carroll. We have a whole room dedicated to Scrapbooking!!!
We encourage others to be creative by offering beads (and all the findings), bead kits, uppercase living, buttons, vintage & new sewing supplies, scrapbooking, build-a-bag, craft kits, vintage remnants & linens, junk, ephemera, Christmas Club and jewelry-making classes.
Need ideas? We're good at that. Need help? We're good at that, too! Need something recycled? Talk to us!
Wanna bring your girlfriends out for a special shopping experience or a learn-how event? Did I mention we have a wine room???? OK by us.
Sure, we'd love to put on a presentation for your group!!! Have beads -- will travel. Or how about a denim recycling demonstration??? Did I mention we have a wine room??? Talk to us.
So come see us. Because we really do have something NEW (or old) every day!!!
P.S. No one ever says we need more stuff anymore!!!.
